Gestalt Principles

In class we learned some terms like Emergence which means complex patterns or shapes become recognizable after perceiving the whole picture. Like for example proximity means elements close to each other are perceived as related. Like for example for a assigment we did we had to take pictures of objects or even food from our daily lifes. I took a picture of cookies my cousin made since those cookies were close to each other it was basically proximity. Another term I used for my homework assigment was uniform connectedness I took a picture of buildings around downtown chicago. The reason I did is because the buildings are far apart and you can distinguish the background.
