Elements Principles of Designs

In class we learned good design matters because design means to deserve a purpose. Like for example I took a sewing class at Dominican University. My minor was fashion design ,I recently switch to fashion merchandise. But what I learned in my sewing class is not only the apperance matters like the aesthetic but also the measurements for hips and waist. Measurements are important for design because is important for the consumer to being able to fit in there skirt. I don't have a picture of the skirt I made but I have a sample.
